Why We Planned It This Way
Three choices that make this itinerary work
  • An overnight nonstop both ways — you land at dawn and fly home overnight, so eight nights buy you nine full days on the ground
  • Ha Long as a day cruise from Hanoi, not an overnight reposition — the bay's best bits without losing a city base or packing twice
  • Two short domestic hops (Hanoi → Da Nang, Da Nang → Saigon) instead of long road days — more time in each region, less time in transit

About Vietnam

From the Highlands to the Delta

Few countries pack as much variety into one trip as Vietnam. In a single journey you move from the cool, terraced mountains of the north, through the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay and the lantern-lit heritage town of Hoi An, down to the beaches of Da Nang and the fast, modern energy of Ho Chi Minh City. The landscapes, food and pace change completely every few days.

For Indian travellers it works beautifully: a short nonstop reaches Hanoi, the food is fragrant and very vegetarian-friendly with a little planning, and the value for money is excellent. It suits a first international trip as easily as a tenth.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Vietnam?▾
Yes — Indian passport holders need a Vietnam e-visa, applied for online before travel (currently valid for up to 90 days). Fees and processing times change periodically, so we verify the latest requirements and guide every application before you travel rather than quoting a fixed figure here.
When is the best time to visit Vietnam?▾
Vietnam spans several climates, so it depends on the route. Broadly, roughly September to April is comfortable across most of the country; the north (Sapa, Hanoi) is coolest December–February, while the central coast (Da Nang, Hoi An) is generally driest around February–August. We tune the timing to the regions on your itinerary.
Are there direct flights from India?▾
There are nonstop options between Delhi and Hanoi, and back from Ho Chi Minh City to Delhi; from other cities you'll usually route via a regional hub. The exact carrier, routing and timings are confirmed at the time of ticketing, and we factor your departure city into every plan.
Is vegetarian food available in Vietnam?▾
Yes — Vietnam has a strong vegetarian tradition (look for "đồ chay" Buddhist vegetarian eateries), and most restaurants can adapt dishes. For strict Jain requirements we vet places in advance. Please mention all dietary needs in your journey planner and we'll plan around them.
Are the domestic flights included in the price?▾
The land package covers hotels, breakfast, activities and private transfers. International and the two domestic sectors (Hanoi → Da Nang and Da Nang → Saigon) are shown in the plan but booked separately, so you can choose timings that suit you — we're happy to arrange them alongside.
Can this itinerary be customised?▾
Every package is a starting point. We change hotels, adjust the pace, add or drop regions, swap activities and tailor every restaurant recommendation. Fill in our journey planner and we build it from scratch around your group.
